Fido Electric Scooter Prototype

Seattle-based Fremont Motors unveils to the public its all-electric Fido scooter prototype. Do not let the retro design fool you, as every detail has a bit of practicality.
The wheels, for instance, can be removed easily. The battery located beneath the floorboard can also be easily replaced and be charged indoors. The storage case is not only removable, but also can be worn as a backpack.
The scooter is expected to travel up to 35 miles on a single charge and run at top speed of 45 miles per hour.
Fremont Motors plans on distributing the Fido electric scooter on a “limited” basis in the third quarter of 2012, with an expected cost of US$5,000.
